Tools - Display Windows
vTask Studio has three commands in the Tools menu to show running windows.
This helps to identify a window title for use in a Window action.
There are three types of window listings:
- Display Main Program Windows - Lists the top-level applications windows.
These are the same windows that appear as icons in the Taskbar.
- Display Popup Windows - Displays all of the "Main Program Windows", and any of their
child windows that have the popup style.
- Display All Windows & Controls - Lists every window and control currently running.
Also include Title, Class, and ID information.
You can highlight and copy window titles, class names, and identifiers from the list, and use them in the Format Action screen. The divider lines separate main (overlapped) windows, and their child windows are indented underneath them.
Not all windows have a title or identifier. The windows are listed in the order that the Windows operating system lists them.
