The vTask installation performs the following tasks:
Creates the destination directory
Copies the vTask.exe and core files
Copies the User's Guide and other reference documents
Creates a Program Group with the vTask icons
Prepares an uninstall link if you need to remove vTask
Configures the system registry, and presets new options if this is an upgrade
Associates the .VXM file types with vTask
Only one file is absolutely necessary for operation: "vTask.exe"
It contains the full functionality of the program, and does not rely on any external library or DLL files.
*Tip:
Check back often at Vista Software for product upgrades.
They can be installed over the top of your current installation, and ensure that you have the latest functionality.
Upgrades can be installed on top of current installations (install to the same directory). Your existing configurations will be retained. Be sure that you are not running a copy of vTask during the installation. The setup program will try to close vTask if it is running. If it cannot be closed, you will receive the following error message. Abort the installation, close vTask, and run the installation again.
